Additionally, if the member chooses to rejoin, she is permanently banned from holding office at the Chapter level. Laura Harner Member received a lifetime expulsion from membership in Romance Writers of America due to plagiarism. Additionally the member received a permanent ban from participation in or attending any RWA-sponsored including conferences, workshops, classes, and any chapter activities. Ms. Harner was notified on November 16, 2015. Trisha Kiefer Member received a one-year suspension of RWA membership on February 7, 2012 due to unauthorized use of chapter property (its name and financial assets). Additionally, if the member chooses to rejoin, she is permanently banned from holding office at the Chapter level. Stephanie Morris Member received a lifetime expulsion from membership in Romance Writers of America due to plagiarism. Additionally the member received a permanent ban from participation in or attending any RWA-sponsored including conferences, workshops, classes, and any chapter activities. Ms. Morris was notified on March 20, 2013. Kristal Singletary/Kay Manning Member received a lifetime expulsion from membership in Romance Writers of America due to plagiarism. Additionally the member received a permanent ban from participation in or attending any RWA-sponsored including conferences, workshops, classes, and any chapter activities. Ms. Singletary was notified on March 20, 2012. Cristiane Serruya Member received a lifetime expulsion from membership in Romance Writers of America due to plagiarism.
